If I ask you what your deepest fear is, what will be your reply? A range of thoughts may go through your mind but the one thing your mind may settle on is death.

The most common fear among many people is death. For a lot of reasons, people can’t think of a life after death. It’s frightening to think at the end of your life, you’ll be enclosed in a pine box and never see your loved ones again.

What if I tell you there’s a life beyond death as you see it? You probably think this is a hoax but it’s not. Besides, there was a time I too was scared of death. A time I considered it to be my deepest fear.

So what helped me or in this case, who? Jesus did. You may be at the point where your mind wants to tune out but hold on, I have a case.

When someone dies, we all hope they make it to heaven but how sure are you?

See what manner of love God has for you, in that He sent His only son to die on a cross for You. His death took away your sin and what fear you may have for death. All you need now is to believe in Him to make this your reality.

Your new reality will have access to Heaven; the Kingdom of God.

You may say that you didn’t ask him to die on your behalf. But, will your friends offer to die for you? Or even your parents? None of these people will give their life so you may have life. Even if they could, will they take away your sin?

By taking your sin, Jesus took death away. He literally flung it far away from you. The ball is now in your court; keep death as your deepest fear or throw it out of your life. Which will you choose?

Just in case you think these are empty promises, John 3:3 says Jesus answered and said to him, โ€œMost assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.โ€.

Now, you see the promise, all you need do is choose Jesus. Intentionally accept Jesus as your friend; that is what being born again is all about. John 14:6 says that Jesus is the only way through which you can have access to God. Knowing and accepting Jesus means you will have the access to heaven.

When you die on this side of life, you’ll wake up on the other side of life with Jesus. How do I know this? Well, I haven’t died before but there’s someone in the Bible who did.

In truth, the man thought he didn’t need to believe because he was wealthy on earth. When he died, he appeared before God and he wanted God to send someone specifically to his brothers. Why? He wanted them to believe in God before it was too late. You can find the story in Luke 16:19-31 .

Today, you have the opportunity to accept Jesus and cast away the fear of death. Ultimately, one’s deepest fear at the end of life may not be death. It may be coming face-to-face with the one you rejected, Jesus.

Dear Reader, Thank you for reading! Assuming you already believe in Jesus, this article is a reminder that death has nothing on you.

If you are yet to accept Jesus, this article is one of the many things He takes away. You only need to believe and say “Jesus, I need you”. You can find more information here.
