As the year rounds up in two days, it’s time for a reflection on 2022 and I’m asking “Where did 2022 go?”. Let’s reflect on the blog’s and some of my goals.
Different, that’s how I’ll describe this year. Majority of the articles written were topics I was just learning and wanted you to learn from as well. Some of these were phases only I could understand and should have held off on.
After asking for God’s direction, a series of goals (blog and personal) were outlined and converted into a vision board. Here’s a picture of the vision board below.
2022 Vision board
Early in the year, on joining Money Africa -an Edtech educating Africans on finance-, the first lesson was Vision boarding. “The more you see your goals, the more likely you are to achieve them.”
As you see in the red box on the vision board, my expectation for the blog is 5000 visitors and 40 articles. In short, there were more than 5000 visitors on the site this year for which I’m super grateful. However, only 28 articles could be published this year.
The other goals on the board were fully or partially achieved, I’m super grateful for that. These goals took a lot of effort; one of such being Saying No to many activities to stay on track.
Then the Lord answered me and said: “Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry.

The learnings from 2022
In terms of Vision boarding, I will definitely repeat it and I believe you should too. It helps you envision the goal and holds you accountable to the set out goals.
2 No’s and 1 Yes. To fulfill your goal, you’ll need to say No to the activities that aren’t pushing you towards your goal. It’ll help build discipline in you.
Quality over quantity. It’s not about how many things you do but how well you do a few things. I learned this every time I’d write an article just to meet a set timeline.
Celebrate your little wins. For every time you achieve something on the vision board, encourage yourself with a treat. This will prompt you to work harder to achieve the other goals.
Improvement areas for 2023
Better planning. Right now, the blog schedule has Thursday as post days. Why then do I wait until Sunday evening before writing the week’s article? Certainly, I’ll be planning ahead.
Unexplained departures. Sometimes life does happen but accountability for the win. In 2023, I hope to be very accountable, as it shows respect and committment to the outlined goals.
After reading Patty’s blog –He said what?!– , I realized that I complain about the situation before rejoicing. Hopefully, I won’t be writing any articles that only I understand (lol).
Complacency, Imposter Syndrome, Liberty in the Spirit of the Lord, People pleasing, Questioning your Christian journey, Write down the vision, and The book of Romans and Job were some of the articles written in this year.
Thank you to you all who read the articles and followed me through this year. Thank you to those who joined our community this year.
2023 has a lot in store and I’m excited for it. May the new year bring challenges that’ll help you and I grow, and favour, in Jesus name. Happy new year in advance!
