Hello, I hope you didn’t miss me as much as I missed you. Today’s blog post will be about creating awareness for the Christian Student Series I am currently working on.

If you are subscribed to my blog, then you got the newsletter concerning this and some more information about my blog. If you aren’t subscribed yet, what are you waiting for?

Why Christian Student?

Why Student ?

At some point during the last month, I felt overwhelmed. I wanted to create great content for you and also keep up with you on social media, while in school and building my relationship with God.

That certainly wasn’t easy. I had to drop something at a point which was why I didn’t post anything here for almost a month.

In the same time space, I read the suicide note of someone my age. It caused a lot of emotions to go through me– I was angry, sad, empathetic, and felt really low.

You and I have at one point in our lives been students or are still students. It’s easy to relate to the feeling of being overwhelmed when you are trying to balance quite a number of things with your academics.

Why Christian?

It’s certainly not easy being a Christian. There have been times when I’ve felt really disconnected from God. In fact, I couldn’t even understand the things happening in my life.

From the suicide note I read, I couldn’t help but feel pain when I realised the person in question went to church. From his childhood, he went to church because his parents made it compulsory. Although, they never took time out to explain the essence of going to church.

Truth be told, I believe many people feel and have felt that way in the past. The true essence of going to church is this:

‘not forsaking our meeting together [as believers for worship and instruction], as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more [faithfully] as you see the day [of Christ’s return] approaching. ‘ HEBREWS 10:25

Another verse that comes to mind is:

‘As iron sharpens iron, So one man sharpens [and influences] another [through discussion]. ‘ PROVERBS 27:17

How can you contribute to this?

Your help is needed to inform students who are Christians and would like to share how they balance their relationship with God, school and everything they do.

I believe you know someone who was once a student or is currently a student who can help me to share the message I want to pass across.

What message do I want to share?

To all Christian students:

You can be a grade A student who loves God, behaves Christ-like and is distinct in all you do.

Funmi

‘A man’s gift makes room for him, And brings him before great men.’ Proverbs 18:16

God has created each of us to have different identities. Despite our differences, we can encourage each other to hold on to God and trust that he will see us through whatever challenge we face.

How will it work out?

I would to invite all Christian students to please contribute to this series. Everyone is important and has something to share which will make an impact in other people’s lives.

If you decide to contribute, I would like to inform you that you have the right to decide not to have your name added to your contribution in accordance with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).

I can be contacted through my blog or my Instagram or Facebook page.

Thank You
