Are you fine? Truly fine? I understand, fake it till you make it. However, do you know where you currently are?

Recently, I’ve been unravelling my current emotional state and it’s not been pretty. As time passed, I’d built walls around the issue. That way, I’d think I’m fine but God knowing better, helped me unravel.

Whilst I’m still in recovery mode, it’s important that I share this with you. Sometimes, we get super absorbed in the performance treadmill that we forget where and who we really are.

In a Bible plan I used in January, the Author mentioned that your emotional maturity equates to your spiritual maturity. Even if you lie to yourself that you’re emotionally apt, your spiritual life will reflect the real deal.

God relates with you & I where we currently are, not where we think we should be.

The Article’s purpose

This article is a call to come to Jesus as you are. Even if your friends or family don’t know or won’t understand what you are dealing with, Jesus knows and wants you. How do I know? His word says it:

Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.
Matthew 11:28‭-‬30 MSG

Jesus promises to help you, but you must choose to come. Stop performing and come, Jesus wants you like that.

Ask God to show you where you are performing. Tell Jesus to help you get off that performance treadmill.

Stop performing and Come to Jesus
Be still and know that He’s God
