In Hebrews 12:2, the Bible asks you and I to look unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. Technically, it asks that we put our focus on Jesus.
The TPT version of this verse sums it up this way: We look away from the natural realm and we focus our attention and expectation onto Jesus who birthed faith within us and who leads us forward into faith’s perfection.
In the process of working ideas for an article, God put this verse in my heart. Quite frankly, there’s something I see happening that I’d like for this article to correct.
What is it? Men looking unto men, instead of Jesus.
The Lord is calling you and I to put our focus on Jesus. Notwithstanding the anointing on these men and other things, the key is that they help you look unto Jesus.
In case you’re wondering what the best way to focus on Jesus is, it’s reading the word of God (your Bible). The word acts as a filter for anything that isn’t like Jesus.
In conclusion, there’s another article by a blog that sums up majority of what I’d like to tell you nicely. The power of focus (Looking unto Jesus). I pray that as you read it, God will give you understanding.
