Dear Reader, it’s that time of the year when the brightly coloured lights fill the streets and Christmas trees are decorated. The tradition of celebrating Christmas with family makes it really attractive; the festivities, eating and drinking and the like. All of this makes Christmas look so familiar to us but can you leave the festivities aside and think of it in this manner:
God loves you so much that he decided that His only son will come to earth; be born by a woman and die by the hands of man just for you. If God loved you so much to go to that extra mile, how will you acknowledge him this Christmas?
Familiarity: close acquaintance with or knowledge of something.
When you are overly familiar with someone, you tend to accord them less respect than they deserve. Don’t be overly familiar with the love that God has for you, re-acquaint yourself with God’s love this Christmas.
What is important this Christmas?
This Christmas, we’re celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ; don’t let the season seem familiar that you forget to acknowledge the love God has for you.
I pray that this season will be a constant reminder of the love that God has for you and I pray you carry the joy of Christmas through the year not only at Christmas.
Don’t forget to spread the love of God with others in this season also.
Christmas Message
‘For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgement and justice From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.’ Isaiah 9:6-7
